Through our joint effort with the Broward Sheriff’s Office to share updates to residents, this is a summary of crimes and other Parkland incidents through October 25.

Animal Bite

7800 block of NW 113 Way- Heron Bay
On October 24, the victim suffered a bite on the hand from a neighbor’s dog while trying to stop her dog from being attacked. The victim and her dog were both transported for medical attention.

Threats/Intimidation

6400 block of NW 57 Lane – Sable Pass
On October 21, the victim advised he was threatened via text message by the suspect. The suspect’s statement was not obtained, and no charges have been filed at this time.

Burglary Conveyance

8800 block of Carrington Ave – Watercrest
On October 22, a 40-year-old male reported he was the victim of a burglary conveyance overnight. Two unlocked vehicles were searched for valuables, but nothing was taken. An area canvass was done, and there was no video of the incident.

7400 block of NW 108 Ave – Parkland Reserve
On October 22, a 43-year-old female reported a burglary conveyance overnight about the victim’s unlocked Acura being stolen.

Domestic Disturbance

5800 block of NW 80 Terrace
On October 24, a husband and wife were verbally arguing. As the husband went to leave in the vehicle, the wife grabbed onto the passenger handle, attempting to open it, while the husband attempted to drive. The wife fell to the ground, hitting her head on the front lawn of the home. She complained of head and leg pain. Coral Springs-Parkland Fire Rescue responded & transported the victim to Northwest Medical Center. There were no visible signs of injury. Both parties involved denied any criminal allegation.

Information

11000 Holmberg Road
On October 24, several yellow signs reading “YERLAW” were removed from trees along Holmberg Road, adjacent to Westglades Middle School.

Property Damage

5900 block of Hillsboro Blvd
On October 23, a 33-year-old female was the victim of property damage when an unknown older man accidentally bumped into the passenger mirror of her 2009 Landrover, and it broke off.

7705 North State Road 7 – Wawa
On October 25, the person reporting advised that while he was parked directly in front of the business, the vehicle parked next to his opened the driver’s side door, which made contact with his passenger side door and possibly caused damage.

Theft

7500 Loxahatchee Road – The Falls
On October 22, the victim reported an unknown person came onto the property of the Falls, where homes are being built between October 20 and 22. The site was not secure. The suspect removed a water pump and a camera. The total loss was $1200.
